Our School, Our Future Campaign

Our Campaign
At its September 2018 meeting, the Board of Trustees of Buckley Country Day School gave the green light to move forward with a $5 million capital campaign. The overall goals of the campaign are to continue to support program enrichment, meet the needs of our growing enrollment, increase security, and build a strong financial safety net to ensure the school’s future.
Specifically, this campaign—Our School, Our Future—will:
Build six new, state-of-the-art classrooms, three of which will support our music programs
The new classrooms will be home to all of our Lower School music classes, chorus, band, piano ensemble, strings, and percussion, including instrument storage. The clustering of three music classrooms will also foster greater opportunities for teachers to collaborate. This construction project reaffirms our commitment to the performing arts instruction.
Provide a new dining hall and gathering space for students, faculty, and parents
This project will accommodate two family-style lunch periods for all students, including Pre-K and Kindergarten, open up Grace Commons as a community space, and allow for a greater variety of lunch options. The expanded dining hall will create a designated space for community gatherings and provide convenient access to our auditorium and Upper School wing.
Enhance Campus Safety
A perimeter fence was constructed in the spring of 2023 to enhance security on campus, with gated access to campus at the Bus Circle, Softball Field, and Main Driveway Entrance which features an intercom connection to the reception desk and security team.
Construction of the Our School, Our Future projects began in the spring of 2023 with the construction of our perimeter fence and has continued as Buckley broke ground on the dining room and classroom construction in November 2025. Similar to many other undertakings, from the very founding of our school to the building of the facilities we all enjoy today, Buckley cannot fund these projects with operating revenues. Funding for projects such as these is made possible by the generous financial contributions of all constituent groups to Buckley’s capital campaigns.
We are all, without exception, the beneficiaries of the generosity of past generations of Buckley parents, grandparents, and alumni. It is now our turn to leave a strong school to the students who will graduate in its second centennial.
