Buckley Students Shine at Kellenberg Math Competition

Buckley Country Day School students delivered an outstanding performance at the Kellenberg Memorial High School 7th and 8th Grade Math Competition on Tuesday, April 14, earning top honors and showcasing exceptional mathematical talent.

Buckley fielded two teams—one of seventh graders and one of eighth graders—as students competed in both individual and group events. Throughout the competition, participants tackled challenging problems that required sharp reasoning, creativity, and teamwork.

The highlight of the day came when Emma W. ’26 captured first place in the individual competition, emerging victorious after a thrilling three-way tiebreaker. Her remarkable achievement is a testament to her skill, determination, and poise under pressure. Buckley’s eighth grade team also delivered an impressive showing, earning third place overall in a highly competitive field.

We are incredibly proud of all of our students for their hard work, enthusiasm, and sportsmanship.
