Patrick McEnroe ’80

Patrick McEnroe ’80 a tennis star, ESPN commentator, former Davis Cup captain, and current president of the International Tennis Hall of Fame, attended Buckley in the ‘70s and went on to have an impressive career in sports and broadcasting. In a recent interview with Buckley, he said “I really think that Buckley helped me learn how to speak well, especially in front of an audience. I vividly remember loving to talk and present in front of the class, and these days I still do a lot of presenting. Buckley prepared me to love to learn, try new things, and to pursue topics and activities I liked. That’s why I studied political science at Stanford…I enjoyed it!”
