Buckley Student Musicians Perform at Lincoln Center
March 23, 2026
A talented group of Buckley student musicians took the stage at Lincoln Center on Saturday, March 21, 2026, as part of a prestigious winners’ recital, showcasing their exceptional musical ability in one of the world’s most renowned performance venues. The ensembles are made up of student musicians from across Nassau and Queens Counties, including members from Elmont, Garden City, Roslyn, Kew Gardens, Jamaica, Jericho, Whitestone, Cambria Heights, Franklin Square Melville, Merrick, Great Neck, and Baldwin.
The students earned their place in the recital through a competitive selection process, demonstrating outstanding technical skill, musicality, and dedication to their craft. Performing before an audience of peers, families, and accomplished musicians, members of Buckley’s String Ensemble, Piano Ensemble, and Band delivered polished and expressive performances that reflected both their individual talents and the strength of the school’s music program.
“This is an extraordinary achievement for our students,” said Dr. Elizabeth Glennon, Buckley’s Music Director and String Ensemble Director. “To perform at Lincoln Center is a remarkable honor at any age, and these young musicians rose to the occasion, displaying artistry and poise well beyond their years.”
Brothers, Aaron ’28 and Adam ’30 C., teamed up for a duet of “On Wings of Song” by Felix Mendelssohn. Their mother, Devi, shared, “Watching Aaron and Adam perform together was incredibly special. Seeing their hard work come to life on stage and how performing as a duet has strengthened their bond and collaboration, I was truly proud. Their growth reflects not only their dedication, but also the passion of their teachers and the strength of Buckley’s music program.”
Buckley Country Day School places a strong emphasis on the arts as an essential component of a well-rounded education beginning in early childhood. Through individualized instruction, ensemble opportunities, and performance experiences, students are encouraged to develop confidence, discipline, and a lifelong appreciation for music.
The winners’ recital at Lincoln Center represents a milestone moment in each student’s musical journey and underscores the importance of fostering creativity and excellence from an early age.
Congratulations to our student musicians and dedicated music faculty who inspire our students to strive for excellence each and every day!
