Buckley’s Tenth Annual March Madness Tournament
March 13, 2026
The Buckley community turned out in full force for the school’s highly anticipated annual March Madness basketball tournament, celebrating a decade of spirited competition and connection!
The event featured four exciting matchups, beginning with the ever-popular 8th Graders vs. Faculty and Staff game. Three additional Red Team vs. Blue Team contests followed, bringing together Buckley alumni, moms, and dads for a series of friendly but fiercely contested games. A highlight of the day was the strong showing of alumni, whose return to campus underscored the enduring sense of community that defines Buckley.
Beyond the action on the court, Buckley’s Student Council helped elevate the event with a series of thoughtful initiatives. A bake sale, held during both Lower and Upper School lunch periods as well as during the games, offered a festive and delicious way for students and families to participate. In the weeks leading up to the tournament, Student Council also organized a custom basketball jersey sale, and the gym was filled with Buckley pride as players and spectators alike sported their new gear.
The success of the day was a true community effort. Buckley extends its gratitude to everyone who attended and, especially, to those who took to the court. A special thank you goes to Athletic Director Brian Boyle P ’28, ’29 for his leadership in organizing this beloved annual tradition.
As the tournament marks its tenth year, it continues to be a meaningful opportunity for Buckley students, families, faculty, and alumni to come together, celebrate school spirit, and create lasting memories.
