Upper School Spring Concert Showcases Talent and Teamwork

May 14, 2025

The Upper School Spring Concert was a vibrant celebration of musical and artistic expression, featuring outstanding performances by students in Grades 5 through 8. From the opening piano ensembles to the final chorus number, the evening was filled with energy, creativity, and the joy of live performance.

Students showcased a wide range of talents across multiple disciplines. The audience was treated to the grace and rhythm of the dance ensemble, the precision and power of the band, and the rich harmonies of both the 5/6 and 7/8 guitar ensembles. Senior soloists impressed with poise and skill, while the string ensemble and chorus brought depth and emotion to the stage.

Each performance reflected hours of hard work and collaboration, and the sense of pride among students and teachers was palpable. The evening concluded with a show-stopping rendition of Coldplay’s “Viva la Vida”, performed by the chorus with members of the string ensemble—a fitting finale that brought the entire audience to their feet.

Buckley extends its deepest thanks to the dedicated performing arts faculty who made the concert possible: Ms. Chun (piano), Mrs. Demopoulos (dance), Ms. Kim (band), Mr. Lee (guitar), Dr. Park (chorus), and Buckley’s Music Director and String Ensemble Director, Dr. Elizabeth Glennon.
