Kindness Blooms at Buckley!

April 11, 2025

The Muran Theatre was filled with heart and hope as Early Childhood and Lower School students gathered for our Acts of Kindness Assembly. Throughout March and April, kindness has blossomed—quite literally—throughout Buckley’s hallways as students filled Acts of Kindness trees with examples of thoughtful words, helpful actions, and caring gestures that made a real difference in their classrooms and beyond. During the assembly, students in grades pre-k through four shared personal stories of kindness and reflection, reminding the audience of fellow students, parents, and faculty how even the smallest act can have a big impact. The program concluded with a moving performance by Buckley fourth graders, who sang a beautiful rendition of “Lean On Me” by Bill Withers celebrating love and kindness. Special thanks to Head of Lower School, Elizabeth Lyons, who spearheaded this meaningful initiative and inspired our youngest learners to lead with empathy and compassion. What a wonderful reminder that kindness grows when we choose to plant it.
