Buckley 7^th and 8^th graders took the stage of The Muran Theatre on Friday for Buckley’s Got Talent!

Organized by the Student Council and emceed by Student Council President Alyssa S. ’25, Buckley’s Got Talent featured eight acts showcasing a variety of talents that included “speedcubing” (competitive Rubik’s cube solving), dancing, singing, acting, and even surfing…on video, anyway!

Buckley’s very own celebrities served as judges – Mrs. D, Ms. Guo, Mr. Kelly, and Mr. Boyle – and they proved hard to impress. High standards and harsh criticism left some contestants slack-jawed, while others received praise for their preparation and performances.

In the end, two dance groups came out on top – “The Rubies” featuring 8^th graders Li’Ana, Naiyah, and Cadence took home second place for their dance routine.

A group of 7^th graders took home the first place grand prize: Khalea, Tiffany, Sasha, Rylee, and Adanna, bringing the house down with choreography that included multiple props, acrobatics, and a live rap from two group members!
